Interesting read on Gengy

Interesting article on the one that we let go.

From reading this it sounds like moving to the tiggers did open his eyes to what was needed in the scrum in terms of technique and preparation. Whether that was our bad coaching or the change in the environment that made him think only he will really know. But it does explain why he has changed so quickly from a bit of a liability in at the scrum in the champ with us into one of the best destructive scrumagers in the Prem. Also now his injury is fixed he could be getting a lot better.

"Genge’s difficult upbringing on the West Knowle estate in Bristol is well documented."

LOL!! Guardian Journalists really do need to look beyond the dizzy lights of North Street and Gloucester Road. Google Maps is a good start.

Other than that, good article, I love to see him back in the hoops however I think he needs to be away from Newquay Road shops as possible to be a success. Keep up the good work Gengy!

I thought Genge was the stand out performer in the Tigers pack against Saints. Was a real handful and was the last of front row to come off not far before the end. As for the rest of their performance there would not be many happy Tiger fans. The lineout was a shambles, they were shoved off their own ball several times and butchered several good try chances. Not sure Mr Bakewell would have been very happy - honeymoon definitely over.

Youngs is good, but from what I've seen Poloto makes a big difference in that pack

Gengy was enjoyable to watch at the weekend cannot say he doesn't try, he makes me laugh and also happy to think this is the kind of guy we need for England.

We've done quite well with a couple of props from you, a certain Mr J White being a particular favourite.

Don't thing we can claim much credit for White, only signed for us for the money but never wanted to be here. He was better at Sarries and with the Cheaters. I've noticed on the live C5 matches that Traynor is still with you guys, and if the rumours are to be believed you are about to sign the best prop we've had in years in Cortes.

If I remember correctly white got sent off really early against the tigers and we still won with 14 men.

if that rumour is true can we not go for Bateman?

Traynor has been rarely used, would not be surprised if he moved on, first I've heard re- Cortes though. Bates is under contract, I doubt we will be parting with him in a hurry unless he wants out. If the rumoured move for Mulipola is true we will need all the props we can get as I expect Genge to be away with England next season.
