How about giving the a chance? Cosgrove seems very well thought of by Edinburgh fans.
Edinburgh Forum

Welcome both!! Glad to have you on board.
+1
I'm all for giving these guys a chance they haven't even picked up a rugby ball in Bristol yet!!
Somebody has seen what they can do and believes they will improve at Bristol. So welcome to Bristol guys & here's hoping it's a successful move for all.

My glass is again full now bring on the rugby.

Some of you might recall that Mako when he played for us was a bit on the plump side. Sarries however definitely improved his fitness, he lost weight and his overall game improved vastly.

Hopefully we can do the same with Sione.

I say welcome to both and give them, and the new coaching team, a chance.

Seen Cosgrove a couple of times for Edinburgh and he looks to have potential, but until international and injuries there were some decent props ahead of him so not surprised how little game time he's had up there. Both first choices (Nel and Dickenson) are also Scotland's and would probably be lions if they were fit.
JO'C also has a lot of potential, but after being first choice most of last season he has only had a couple of games this season behind the under performing names.
