Good news. Think he has done well with our pack on the whole.

Very interesting quote from Bakewell in the Post article. Not surprising, but just very candid.

"The last time I spoke to you guys, we were in a position where no one knew if they were staying or leaving, and no one had made decisions in regard to next year.

"Since that point, people have now made decisions that they are leaving the club, people have now been told that they are not wanted. So that group of people, their motivation is maybe slightly different to what it was before.

"And that is the challenge of being in this environment, which is no disrespect to anyone, it's just fact. It's fact that, where we are in the table lends us to players being poached by other clubs, and also a situation where with Pat coming in next year there are players who won't be here.

I've made this point before. Whilst we may have to persuade several current players to stay, there will be many more that Lam simply doesn't want.

Quite telling that Lam's signings to date are all in their twenties.

Exactly. You would hope that both Woody and Hurrell would see the quality of players being brought in and want to be part of the future of this club. The crowds we get at the bottom of the table shows the potential.
No disrespect to championship clubs but if we go down it will be max 1 year. We would be in a much better place next time.

Would understand both wanting to stay in the lime light and not drop out of the picture. If we are buying quality players in then pay what these guys require to stay with us!!

CMON BRISSSSSSSS

Steve cotton has said that Hurrell is going nowhere. Just hope he's got that right!

Forwards were a shambles against Wuss.

They were a shambles in games leading up to that as well, Barf excluded maybe. Think JT has been the best coach this season, the defence is vastly improved from the season prior and given systems usually take years to implement fully I'd say he's done a good job given the pressure/time.

No team should be poaching our players given our financial clout. Not for a planned single season in the championship. A side down there longer than a year, different story. Every other side that visits retains the vast majority of their key figures, this had better hold true with us as well... No salary cap either so make the most. Lam + support + ground + facilities + city on top of that means we shouldn't be losing our finest. Something is very wrong if it turns out we do.
