Probably because they've been working on the pitch.

Cleve RFC is at Shortwood, (Pucklechurch way) Get on the ring road, take the Pucklechurch /Shortwood turn off. Up the hill, T Right (signposted Cleve RFC) down the road for about a mile and it's on the left.
Alternatively if you know where Mangotsfield Town FC play, it's a bit further on past that going out of Bristol.

There is parking there, but I guess it depends on numbers, probably about the same as clifton at a guess.

Limited inside the ground and even more so outside as its on the edge of housing, so unlike Clifton parking on the roads is very limited. Get there early

Bartman
Seems a strange choice then
Think they may have underestimated the support that want to watch mr Lam and his team on their first outing

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

I wanted to try and respond to some of your questions and also pass on some information for the 5th August Game v Harlequins.

Firstly, it will be free admission on the gate to all 2017/18 season ticket holders. For all other tickets, people can either pay on the gate or pre-purchase at [www.seetickets.com]

We have a fair amount of parking, probably more than Clifton, and we also have Mangotsfield Football Club and Pomphrey Hill Sports Ground adjacent to us. During events like this we all help each other out with parking.

We have worked with Bristol Rugby who have advised us on potential attendance numbers for the fixture, and we are more than prepared to deal with this amount of people. If there is an increased popularity of the event due to Mr Lams' presence then we can cope with this adequately too.

Our clubhouse will most certainly be open, and from midday. For those that haven't visited Cleve before, our clubhouse is probably larger than Clifton's and the bar itself is much bigger. We will also be having outside bars on the day to make sure that queues don't ruin your experience.

In terms of pubs in the local area, someone has already mentioned The Bridge Too Far, and we are also in walkable distance of The Red Lion, The Lamb and The Salutation Inn. We will have our bars open plenty early enough however to accommodate the thirstiest of supporters.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, or contact me directly on David@cleverugby.co.uk. I hope you enjoy your experience at Cleve on the day.
