I hope you both enjoy it. My big recommendation is to have even more warm clothes available than you might normally take for him on such a day - my son always got very cold sitting down for long time in an exposed stand - though didn't take him till he was 5 or 6 (& we had to leave early one time as his mate we'd taken was so cold - that was watching us v Sale at the Memorial Ground). So a good idea to not get to your seats too too early.

i bring a 4 and 3 yr old to most games - popcorn, sweets, chip a hotdog and a tablet loaded with games helps!

There are a couple of activities in the south stand concourse pre match for kids.
Usually a bungee run and kicking game. Although at 3 he may be a bit small for these.

My daughter has been attending games since she was 6 months old and is now 10 and still loves it but I totally agree with Rich. Warm clothes and maybe something to occupy him if he gets bored later on in the game. Also make sure you have some nibbles for him.

The only other things I will say is that when she was younger my daughter didn't like it when the crowd got really loud, although we were standing at the mem, and Brizzly can be quite intimidating up close when your that small.

I have been bringing mine once or twice a season since they were 3 and last week I attempted to bring both together for the first time - which was interesting!

We are in the unreserved area which means we needed too get to our seats early, but if you know where you're sitting stay out as long as possible.

We got there quite early so my 4 year old got a chance to go on the bungee before it got busy. They were also doing face painting there.

Apparently Brizzley hangs around there before the game but we missed him - he didn't make it to the Dolman during the game so the kids went home a bit disappointed.

I bring a bag full of goodies and try to eek them out for the whole game "sit still for 10 mins and you can have some mini cheddars" etc...

I didn't bring a tablet this time as I thought I would try to get them to concentrate on the game - not sure if this was a good or bad thing.

Good luck!

My eldest used to be terrified of Brizzley!! One day he plucked up the courage to get a high-five and as he got close, very loudly exclaimed "It's not a bear! it's a man!!!", much to the dismay of some of the other kids nearby!

Supporting Bristol since... since... Oh, not enough fingers.
