Players buying in

Just wanted to say how great it's been seeing players arrive from long careers at other clubs really buying in to Bristol. Two who have impressed me especially are Varndell and Crane. Both (rightfully) will be claimed by their previous clubs due to their success there, but these two represent Bristol as well as any other squad member. I can't figure if it's just their professionalism or if they, as senior players have invested into the club, the city and the fans. I hope it's the latter, but either way, massive credit to them. I hope that others follow their example.

Don't both of those you mentioned have ties to Bristol anyway? Colston's for example.

I think so, but after so long at other clubs, with all of the achievements both have under their belts I still think it's great that they are such good ambassadors for bris.

I saw all of our PI/NZ players at Spitfire a few weeks ago. ALL of the kids (and there were a few!) were running around in Bris kits with "PIUTAU" or bris hoodies on. It was lovely to see. I passed Jack Lam on my out of the loo. He doesn't strike me as someone to be messed with.

I'd add Ian Madigan to that list too
