Sorry to see him go. Always put a good shifts in and wish him all the best over there. May put more credence to the Jake Heenan rumour.

Always really liked him as a player.
Can’t be easy to be at a club where it’s eminently possible that your dad’s coaching style is getting slagged by your teammates.
I think he’ll be better off at Cardiff for that.
Good luck.

Sad to see him go. He always gave 100% even in the difficult times he had. I wish the guy all the very best in his new club.

Good luck to him. Sorry to see him go. Made the step up to the Premiership, captained us really well and was particularly admirable in the period after his dad was sacked.

All the best Olly, you have been a fantastic servant to the club and will be always welcome back at the club. The way you conducted yourself during the dismissal of your father speaks volumes about the man.

a top bloke who always gave everything for the shirt , I assume he feels or knows something to suggest he opportunities will limited next season .
Thanks for all you have done Olly and good luck over the bridge .

Very disappointed with this news. In my view he is a very good natural 7 with real character and leadership qualities. In addition he is a cracking bloke. Wish you the very best of luck Olly, hope to see you in an England shirt one day.

Very sad to see this news. Very handy player and a smashing bloke. Great role model too, both on and off the field - his Dad should be very proud. I get the feeling the move was engineered by him, so I wish him all the best.

this is a massive shame. You only have to look at Hurrell to see how easily a good player can fall at the wayside when a new coach has come in, olly could easily find himself in this situation next year and that would be such a waste. I personally think we'll definitely have a 7 coming in, with Thomnas the only recognised 7 left in the squad. I guess it will be that lad from Connacht, it would make sense of why we haven't heard any other rumours for that position and with his connection to Lam it seems plausible for him to come in.

Best of luck with your new club Olie. I always enjoyed watching you play your heart out for Bristol. Thanks for all you've done for Bristol.

As far as I can recall Olly only made 1 or 2 appearances after recovering from injury before going out on loan, which suggests that either Olly had decided to leave or Lam had decided he didn't want him very early in the season (or even pre-season).

Had posted on another thread about this when he and Palamo went out on loan, the rumour I'd heard at the the time was that it was most definitely a case of the latter. Whatever the circumstance wish Olly all the best, he is a very underrated player and gave his all whenever he put on a Bris shirt.
