Two women as ARs and another as TMO. The times they are a changin'. When will Clare Daniels get to ref at this level, or higher?

I'd really like to know that as well.

Has a woman ever reffed at the top level rather than touch or TMO? Surely they're qualified enough.

Both Sara and Claire are top notch Refs and this lady is an acquaintance of mine who is a superb 1st Official

Thought that they collectively had a relaxed view to forward passes. Imagine Pirates fans would be a bit unhappy about two of our tries.

I thought they had a relaxed view to quite a lot. Dubious tackles from both sides, not scrummaging straight, calling for a mark, to name but 3.

Must be a first for us at Bris, coming out on the right side of a Sir. Normally works the other way for us, if anything.

It's been a while coming certainly!

Love the Bris Rugby reply on Twitter to Chris Deverell, whoever he may be

Bristol Rugby Retweeted Chris Deverell

Whatís their gender got to do with anything, Chris? If you hadnít noticed, itís 2017, not 1817. Oh, and merry Christmas

Chris Deverell
Replying to @JohnnieHammond @Bristol_RFC

That was sadly the worst officiating Iíve seen in a long time! Embarrassment to the league & the game in general. Was this first time thereís been 3 females? Hasnít helped cause of getting more female officials in to game - sadly. Did occasion get to them = silence from TMO?

Mr Deverell is a Bedford fan.

In the 1970s, Bedford was the location for scenes from the TV show "Some Mothers Do 'Ave ''Em".

Appropriately enough.

I thought the assistant refs did ok and a damn sight better than the bloke (skinny, thinning hair, could be mid 50s) who runs the touch for lots of the Prem matches. Also refreshing to see ARs who can and did keep up with play.

The TMO on the other hand needs some feedback on her performance: nothing wrong with her calls, except she was too hesitant in stating them and the ref had to drag a point of view from her on occasions.

Brilliant reply. Deserves a gold medal for making the moaning Deverall look a complete nit wit!

That's hilarious.

Sadly it seems to highlight my point about Sky coverage in other thread though. :/

Yes but it went both ways.

Just spotted a very obvious forward pass at 56:27 leading to their third try.
