Team for Ealing.

Well, we've got our tickets. Can't wait for a season defining game. Lose and we are all very nervous but still favourites. Win and it's all but over.

All to play for. Let's hope last weekend served as a wakeup call.

It will be a dry day for the game but with a stiff southerly breeze. Spots of rain as the evening rolls on.

Anyway my team prediction is

Jordan Williams
Luke Morahan
Alapati Leiua
Tusi Pisi
Tom Varndell
Ian Madigan
Rhodri Williams
Bevington
Ross McMillan (if not injured)
Sione Faletau
Joe Joyce
Chris Vui
Haining
Dan Thomas
Steven Luatua.

I just don't rate Faletau: I think he's the main weakness in the front three, so anyone other than him.

I prefer Leiua on the wing. Not that he's lightning quick, but he's a bug*er to stop once he's rolling.

Apart from those two observations I'd go along with most previous suggestions.

McMillan broke his wrist against Bedford. sad smiley
If Vui hasn't recovered I expect to see Jefferies in the second row with Joyce and Haining in the back row.

Apart from that I predict the same selections as for Bedford.

Tonga’uiha
Harris-Wright
Faletau
Joyce
Jeffries
Luatua
Thomas
Haining
Rhodri W.
Madigan
Varndell
Pisi
Leuia
Morahan
Jordan W.

Surely not the front row that started against Bedford?!! Or is the cupboard that bare?
Won't be surprised to see little Dave replace Varndell.

Faletau scrummages well but offers little around the park. He was the only one who wasn't abysmal against Bedford, when McMillan and Bevington were on with him they had the upper hand.

I disagree. Faletau is weak in the scrum and offers nothing in the loose.
We’re Better off going uncontested scrums rather than select him! 😖
Lay is an international prop he must start before Faletau!!!

I agree. We've just signed the Samoan international prop.

Last week against Bedford may have been too soon, but they've had a fortnight to work on things. I expect him to be straight in the team.

I have never seen Lay play, had never even heard of him before he signed for Bristol....but I would pick him ahead of Faletau.

Comments like we're better off going uncontested are laughable. Assuming you watched the game versus Bedford tell me how the scrum went after Harris-Wright and Soane got hooked? Despite Faletau playing the full 80 we then had parity if not the upper hand? He's not a world beater by any stretch and for a guy his size should be a lot better carrying, but singling him out as the weak link when the other two from the Bedford game were worse is a little harsh.

Pat has said in the press conference that Ross McMillan and Chris Vui are both out for the rest of the season.

That is a proper @#$%&!!.... and ruins my team prediction!

Where does it say Vui is out for the season? It's not on the Bris Home site and it's not in the Post

On twitter:

Lam: “Unfortunately, Ross [McMillan] is out for the rest of the season and Chris [Vui] had ankle surgery - he’s out for the season too.”
