He's been retired from internationals since 2013 mate. Been playing in Japan most recently.

If it is true then for me, it’s a good bit of business - I agree with robtheh in that perhaps Luatua (who seems to have gone away again after seeing his Instagram) and DT are not recovering as quickly as first thought and we need some reinforcements. George Smith can still mix it with the best (has been at the Reds as well in Super Rugby) and would bring some excellent professional and tactical skills that the likes of DT would lap up - he wrote the book for the modern 7. Yes he’s 37 but he is fit and still a hell of a player (like Llewelyn for us previously who got better with age....)

Sorry not as keen as the rest of you.Rugby at the top end is very attritional on the body.
I’d hoped we would have learned from signing all the slightly past it welsh greats recently that that isn’t a way to build a team.
Too often out injured and no where near as good as they were in their pomp.
Young hungry players are where we hopefully will be investing most of our cash.

Past it? He was Reds' player of the season last year and is a regular again this. Also I'm sure he's been brought in more so for his experience and coaching. I don't so how anyone can't be excited about this signing. We will need some old heads in the team.
