TRANSFER RUMOUR: A player that Bristol Bears are allegedly looking at for next season if they survive is local rival Bath’s Jonathan Joseph who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Recruitment could go pretty bonkers if we have a good first half of this season. Does anyone know where we are on the salary cap for this season? It would be sensible to leave some money back for injuries and areas of the squad that need strengthening and there are some good players finishing the Mitre / Currie in the autumn.

And yes, JJ would be a stunning acquisition for next year.

We have Will. Does JJ play 12? Think we will need a 12 for next season given Pisi probably retiring.

Saracens have Bosch, Tomkins, Taylor and Barrett who can all play 13. That's the level of competition we need if we are to thrive in this league.

We definitely need a few more star signings in the backs but overall very impressed so far.
Not sure on salary cap to date I'm afraid.
