No idea about the home classic shirt. However leaving out the fin happily leaves plenty of space for an embroidered Sale and 1861 which can be done at reasonable expense as per the following excellent info kindly provided by Mrs T

They charged £6 for a oneoff 1861 in gold (wooo!) . Gold would have suited the then white away shirt as well. For one home shirt I'd go for white if I repeated the exercise. The ribbed embroidery is the same as for the "McAfee"
As iBozz says the more orders the cheaper per item.
As for polyester, I totally agree ..... a substandard material for general wear. Poly/cotton maybe, but 100% polyester -- while perhaps brilliant on the field where you get hot and sweaty anyway -- is for me just plain uncomfortable.
PS: One further thought. The headline of this thread reminds me of the phrase a wolf in sheep's clothing or something like that. But no doubt that is just my fevered negative mind at work
