This is a pretty comprehensive rundown on options for attending. I havent seen anything so detailed on other clubs' sites. It looks as though Swanny has put this together, so thanks go to him.

One very minor point though - there is supposed to be a link at the end of the 'Exiting the Stadium' paragraph, according to the text. However, it doesnt seem to be there?

Why on earth would you pay 5 to park at the Unicorn? when you can park for free in the streets behind and even closer to the ground...

Travelling to my first game here in a while and when I did before I parked at the Trafford centre and caught bus.

I'm now wanting to park at the ground or as close too.
What's my chances of parking at Barley Farm?
I see people have mentioned streets closer to the ground they can park. Can anyone offer some suggestions please? Something that will be easy for my to find on the way back.

Thanks.

I have always been able to park at the Barley Farm, but I have always got there hours in advance, had a meal and some beers.
There always seems to be a good exodus over to the airport which would be my second choice.

Barley farm may be out of the question then as may not be there until approx 7.15. Will look into airport. Any suggestions for on street parking?

Come off J11 and head for Eccles, take any of the streets to the right immediately after the exit. Park there.

Iirc Bullshark said his car was keyed when parking on those streets near the cemetery.

If you're coming from the M60 aim for M30 7LP, Gilbert/Landsdale/Rooke Streets round here on the other side of J11. There might be signs up saying no parking but theres no enforcement. 15 min walk.

I wouldn't bother parking on the streets on the stadium side of the motorway, there were reports of vandalism on that side a year or so ago.

If you're coming from the west I'd just use the airport.

Most of the local streets are blocked off on match nights and I have a recollection of someone posting that cars had been damaged.

The airport or stadium are probably preferable to being keyed....

If you are using the A57 (coming from the Irlam direction) I'd use the airport. The streets you mention are residents only but more importantly, because of the current road works there is no right turn leaving them which means you would be diverted left to J11 and then make your way back up the A57.

The stadium keeps tweeting the travel plan - 3 times this morning I think - but I can't see any significant change from the original one on Monday.

Ours was twice in the 2nd season. When I rang the police to report it they told me I was one of many and they wouldn't recommend parking there.

I wasn't refereeing to there Mrs , but to the streets opposite St Michaels club. Never had a problem as there are lots of residents cars as well.
