Not sure these changes make a coherent whole. But I still think Teo will get the side going forward and that will help England a lot. Back row will look better if/when robshaw moves back to 6.

How injured are the Curry twins btw? Anyone got the inside knowledge?

Yes, I am happy with the full back selection.

I hope that he takes the opportunity in both hands, plays a stormer and presents England with differing attacking options.

I still think that a better option long term is Daly at full back and leave Watson on the wing. Daly has a monster kick, strong at counter attack and defensively better than Watson.
As for the back row , Eddie clearly sees nothing wrong with the lack of dynamism, speed and technique over the ball at the breakdown, nor the lack of a link backrow player for the backs, as clearly evident to the rest of us during the Scotland match.

I'd have 10 Farrell, 12 Te'o, 13 Daly, 11 Solomona.

Agreed, better balance. Not sure of the two F's at 10/12. Te'o is a more natural 12

In the pack lawes is not an international 6, robshaw is not an interational 7 and Hughes a fair weather 8.

farrell has also forgotten (since the start of the lions tour) how to tackle at 12, probably the game you would have farrell over ford at 10, move te'o inside and either joesph or daly at outside centre. However jones has pinned his colours to ford at 10/ farrell at 12 combo and the one consistent thing with jones over his coaching career (other than a great record) is his stubborn nature.

So the one area where England were absolutely mullered (back row) against Scotland he keeps the same.

Now I am bemused.

Not always purely a personnel issue, also linked to tactics and understanding the need to adapt.

France will pose a much different threat to Scotland anyway.

I anticipate Underhill was set to start at 7, with Robshaw at 6. With Underhill rules out, Simmonds coming back from injury and Haskell not exactly at his best, I can see why they’ve stuck with Lawes.

I have had the opportunity to watch Tigers live this season!!! Young’s and Ford have enderperformed on a regular basis but still get picked for England! Denny will only get picked if there is an expansive game. Don Armond must be wondering what he has to do!

And in response to no one in particular. England lose, Ford invisible therefore backs unable to perform and Don Armond must be checking his ancestry
