Signings for next season
25 November, 2018 07:39
Fissler in the Rugby Paper has us interested in Peter Steph du Toit and RG Snyman. Massive signings in every sense of the word ! Also states we are in pole position to sign Cooper Woolley.
The match report in the same paper also has Dimes quoting that the du Preez brothers staying is a possibility though he wants 60% of the side Manchester born and bred !!!

12 out of the 23 can be classed as Academy players so getting there.

Not sure its that wise to go for those two considering that wed miss both of them and Faf for considerable amounts of time, especially as they wont come cheap.

Cooper-Wooley would instantly become first choice tight head and probably not be on that high a salary, for a starting tight head.

I assume that if two South African locks sign then Evans will not have his contract renewed to offset the number of non EQP signings?

Evans on the bench could well have been the changing of the guard, he will be 35 next season.

Stick jean-luc at 8, we'll be rumoured to be after him long term soon enough.

As always: front and second row need to be a priority.
We only need to be looking at the backrow is we lose players (though I expect us to lose one or both of Beaumont and Strauss so an 8 will hopefully be on the cards - unless Sam Moore can make a Curry-esque ascent when he returns from injury)

Front 5 obviously the priority, but RdP showed enough in that one game to suggest for me hes a better long term prospect than AJ. Harsh to say but hes got a better pass and is faster on the break whilst still being a good kicker.

Based on watching him play 120 mins Id agree, he seems to have spotted into the structure pretty well. We were scrappy yesterday but dont think that was down to the half backs
