I had no idea about the things he's been through - seems he's as tough off the field as he is on it.

Can't wait to see him back in action!

Lacks ambition. Leagues top try scorer and a pathetic 120m per game.

No problem!

Yeah I think he will be massive for us next season, think he will need a bit of time to get back to it - it will be worth the wait!

Quite a read.

Qudos to Dimes and the club for signing him up - I'm surprised Gloucs didn't get him with his close relationship to Ackerman

Wow, no wonder he fancied a change of scenery.

Hopefully we can see him back on the pitch soon smiling smiley

I think his attitude and mental fortitude are more impressive than his thighs! I hope to see him back on the field smashing his way through defences soon

Echo this, can't quite believe he didn't follow Ackerman.

Great article, thanks Roman. I saw him in the marquee and outside chatting last week and he seems really at home and at ease. I like this statement:

“I challenge any rugby player or fan to find a more competitive league in the world,” Van Rensburg said. “There are no easy matches, and you have to be on it every week.

You're very welcome ES.

I wonder how much his outlook on life changed after staring death in the face, can only imagine what that does to a person.

I agree wholeheartedly with his comments about the premiership, each game counts, there are no easy games for any team.

Interestingly enough, this video [www.youtube.com] just came up in my YouTube suggestions, have a look to see what the man is like at his best. Of note is the fact that his highlights aren't just huge carries (though there area number of them!), but also shows some solid distribution and decision making.

One thing I think when I watch him is how does a man so big run so fast? Built like a prop but runs like a wing!
