How can you be man of the match one week and don't even make the 23 a week later?
I know his defence needs some work and I like Nowell, but I still bet Scotland are mighty relieved.

Eddie Jones' obsession with Ben Teo is just crazy.

I can definitely see the value in starting Nowell but to not have Joe on the bench is crazy, especially as Farrell, Nowell and Daly can cover centre (even May has played there before) but there is no back 3 cover if someone gets injured

Stupid to leave him out altogether. Imagine him coming on after 50 mins against a tiring sweaties side.

England are pretty well stocked for wing options and Cokanasiga will almost certainly go to the world cup. EJ still doesn't appear to know his favoured centre partnership (Manu & Slade?) and this is the last chance to try options in a competitive game. England are still in for the title so donít want to give anything away in what, on paper, should be a tighter game than last week.

There were some better players on the pitch than JC last week as well, he was just the most eye catching.

Back-up to Ben Youngs is now a total mess which has been shocking mismanagement for at least 18 months.

On the backup to Ben Youngs part..........

IMHO.....Youngs seems to play best with our forwards and his sniping runs are dangerous plus he's got a decent kicking game

Care always seemed great coming off the bench - always added pace alas when he started games it all tended to be very slow and he mainly flapped his arms at the ref like a bird trying to take off

Robson on his tour (I think to SA - the one Sam was on) must have done something to upset the English management team and his card, for whatever reason, seems marked

Wrigglesworth always seemed to have a good all-round game, I always thought out of all the prem scrum halves that Spencer seemed to have the best all-round game plus he's extremely quick - not sure why he hasn't had a look in before.

What will be an issue is if Youngs get injured we barely have any scrum halves (bar Care and maybe Wrigglesworth) with much experience playing for England. Even during the Italy game which I couldn't be bothered to watch as it was so one-sided did Robson only get a bit of time at the end?

Can't understand why Denny Solomona isn't even on the bench. He performs week in week out for Sharks and isn't even in the training squad

Unfortunately for Denny, England are absolutely stacked at wing. Thorley isn't getting a look in either and he's on fire at the moment.

It will be interesting to see if Anthony Watson gets a look in whenever he is fit again. How long has he been out for now? Seems like a year or so...

It has indeed been a year and it sounds like he will be back in action pretty soon.

Joe Marlet shoots himself in the foot.... again...'they're only Scots because they are not good enough to play for England'..

He's clearly joking, but for the most part he's not wrong, tbf.

There are a lot of players in the Scottish side that only became Scottish when they weren't getting into the England set up (either age grade, in the case of Ryan Wilson, or senior in the case of Sam Skinner).

Hamish Watson grew up supporting Sale, but he's always wanted to play for Scotland (patriotic Scottish parents - hence the name!).

Happens with every side, though - in the ABs had come knocking then Shields and Teo wouldn't be in the England set up.

Sisi with Italy, Francis with Wales, Addison with Ireland (sad smiley)
