Reading fans' comments on their message boards on this site, the contrast is remarkable - Falcons' fans are optimistic, but Leicester are fearing the worst. Must be the first time for many years!

Comparing the sides they're putting out, and recent form, Falcons have a really good chance tonight - bookies have them as -6 favourites

I've got a soft spot for the Budgies and tonight is a huge soft spot.

Is a bonus point win and nothing for the Tiggers to much to hope for ?

A functioning Tigers often lost at Newcastle on a Friday night, same as at yours, a mal functioning Tigers, who knows, can Ford senior work some magic?

Iíll buck the trend.

Newcastle are generally terrible to watch, certainly away from home anyway, and with the reminders of bloodgate this week, Iím always shocked by how Richards seems to have been able to walk away from that without a permanent stain on his character.

Itís infinitely worse than anything that Diamond has ever got in trouble for, yet people seem to think that Richards is a good bloke?...

It has blotted his copybook really. Quins were building towards winning the league Plus the implication is other teams were clearly doing it. Regardless, itís pretty shameful cheating but that doesnít mean heís not a good bloke. It was 10 years ago as well so fair enough to move on.

Plus, not sure it is any worse than that spell of props faking injury. Iím sure Dimes would have done that!

Think Worcester are worse to watch but regardless the comedic sight of Leicester going down is worth seeing Newcastle stay up whatever you think of them.

Incidentally Tigers will bounce back if they are relegated.

If you read the articles about bloodgate it seems a lot of the teams were doing it to some extent. Quins just got caught. Obviously doesnít make it right, they were just the fall guys.

Tigers still looked way off pace, but found an extra gear compared to recent weeks. That's probably them safe now

1pt for Newcastle puts them 2 behind Wuss - hopefully we can do them a favour tomorrow and deny Worcester anything

And coincidentally on the BBC website [www.bbc.co.uk] although I'm far from convinced it's rugby's "biggest scandal"!
