Academy lads hang on.

The Academy hung on to beat their Falcons counterparts 22 - 17 in an entertaining game. When impressive No 8 Josh Burridge scampered 30 yards for a try just after half time, Leeds led 19 -0, but a few first team like errors crept in and Falcons got back to 19 - 17. However a late penalty clinched the game. Didn't know who many of the players were, but Webber looked menacing with the ball, and Rosillo had a good game as well. Well done.

COME ON LEEDS.
We've been through it all together.

Good game in poor conditions. Try scorer was number 6, Jay Robinson.

Apologies, it looked like no 8 from where we were stood. It was however, a very well taken try.

Crucial handling errors kept the try cound down for Leeds.

In an u18 game Leeds started with Leeds started with 8 u18, 5 u17 and 2 under 16s. In the 2nd half they brought on a couple of u17 and 3 under 16.

Conditions were not the best, although the heavy rain did hold off for game time.
We enjoyed the game, but it wasn't conducive to slick backs running. Having said that, the lad at 10 looked good (Sedbergh Lad). Not seen him before, and and he was given good ball from Dudman. He's got a good boot on him also. The two kicks from wide sailed over. Shame the one near the posts fell off the tee on run-up. The full back looked solid and a very good performance from the front five also.
It will be interesting to see the list of names for contracts offered for next season. I know that some existing lads have already been told that they are no longer required. Good luck to them next season.
Shame the season is almost over now.
