It has been announced today that Bradford Bulls have been liquidated as a company. It looks like it was one too many bullets to dodge then. Shame for Rugby League and for the city of Bradford.

A great club in their hay day. Real shame and a stark reminder of what can happen.

Yeah but the RFL are leaving the gate ajar for a 'Bradford' phoenix club to rise from the ashes and remain in the Championship with a 12 point deduction. The 2 relegated clubs will no doubt kick off.

Went to Odsal a few times in the late 50's and 60's. The changing rooms were at the top of the bowl, and at half time the players stayed on the pitch as it was too far to get to the changing rooms within the interval. My dad took me to Odsal in 1959 to see the league play off final between St Helens and Hunslet. There were more than 66,000 there, and considering the end 'terracing' was a banking of cinders it was a bit frightening. The 1954 Challenge Cup Final replay between Warrington and Halifax was also played at Odsal in front of a crowd of 104,000. No Elfin Safety about then!
