Remember the anticipation when the weekends team used to be announced on Thursday - now itís who's going to able to walk to the team bus unaided on Friday who gets the nod!

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was referring to the walks I do with Bobba and WW!

2013/14 - Us - 'Its awesome to have two quality 10s'
2016/17 - Us - 'We could do with some competition at 10'
2017/18 - Us - 'It'd be nice to have a 10'

Davies and Irvine have both done OK at 10. We just need one of them to be fit for the trip to Ealing

I bet you can directly link our success and failure by who has played 10 each season as it has been a MAJOR MAJOR failure of the club to secure someone in this position for years

Don't know if you can get old squads on the clacker? But we could try fill in the names to the seasons. A bit like Pete this year we should name the stand ins too. Below are some names from my head if someone knows the seasons? The yoyo years 10s will be the most telling!

Gordon Ross
Richard Vasey
Joe Ford
James Brookes
Leigh Hinton (had a few games there if I remember)
Cieron Thomas
Adrian Jarvis
Scott Barrow (also had a few games there)
Lachlan Mackey
Alberto Di Bernardo
Tommy Bell
Alex Lozoski
Glyn Hughes
Kevin Sinfield
Joel Hodgeson

Sure there are plenty more excluding the current bunch.

Given that we have two of the three current England 10's in the list above (Lozzer and George Ford) - what does that say?

As Almo alludes to, the quality players we've, often fleetingly, had at Leeds/Yorkshire has been incredible. If only we'd been able to retain maybe a third of those top players who've left us over the years I think we would have a very respectable squad right now and we wouldn't be scratching around in the Championship.

If only.... We have always struggled to retain players, even when we have offered decent money. A young club, with no tradition competing with the established "giants down the M1.

Not today though! Brilliant walking in Upper Nidderdale starting/finishing in Nat Lofthouse without a wrong step!
