Tonight's game

Well bris won that without leaving 2nd gear. Cannot be to critical as we just don't have the enough experience in the right areas to trouble a good team. Squad is way to thin.

That said we don't execute well. 1st half lose lineout way over thrown, lost scrum and grubber to nobody in the bris 22. Far to many in the ruck, we never had any options so kick very poorly when bris were set. They committed less and had numbers, dummy runners and better hands. There 6 and 15 were a class above anything else on the pitch. The 10 kick well too. They kicked out of hand after a few phases and behind us when we were not set.

Good to see burdon back. Homer Davies burdon Lucock backline will have more balance.

Without the nounce you cannot get enough good ball and play in the right areas. Expected to still disappointed. One on one tackles were pi$$ poor too.

That's nearly 90 points conceded in two games. Not good

With this seasons aspirations and squad I don't think you can take a measure from this game.
No excuses we were really poor at times but the same combinations never take the field for more than a game. When you go into a season with a micro thin squad wishing for no injuries its gonna bite you.

Good to see fox getting on.

Last two results were completely expected but that doesn't make them any easier to take.

This is us now unfortunately.

Clearly the better team won but a couple of points:

Bristol repeatedly gave themselves an extra man when the backs looped round after passing the ball, hence their scoring most of the tries in the corner.

We were imaginative in broken play and were able to keep the ball alive hence our two tries..

With the disparity between the teams in experience and lest we forget international experience the result was to be expected.
As Leeming said , This is us at the moment.
That said some of the tackling was poor but then some of their players were very good.
My major cripe of the evening was Ollie Stedman who spent most of the night castigating his fellow players with a series of finger pointing and verbals. The red mist descended and he set off to illegally demolish the Bristol 6 and was lucky not to get a yellow card. If he channelled his efforts and stopped throwing the toys out of the pram when things are not going well it would be better for everyone.

Steadman's always whinging about something when on the pitch.

He clearly has a bad attitude and (IMV) is very disruptive to other team members.
