Festive tripe... today's game

We what a load of garbage that was. The lads dug in a got the result but the performance for the first 70 mins as dire as I have ever seen.
Who coaches the backs because to say they don't have a clue in attack is polite. I know Pete ain't a 10 but those boys should still be better. Flat 1 up rugby. I would back Notts front 5 ball in hand against our back line.
Glad Davies is back. Got to go 10 v donny. Must start burden as Forsyth had another complete howler.
Well done beck buckle and the props. West added and lifted it too.
Need to raise it v donny as play like that and we will lose.

Best bit of the day..... stroking the reindeer!

They say that a good team can win even when playing badly: on that score we are a very good team!
The forwards were superior in just about every department, but our backs constantly turned the ball over to Notts in contact. Credit to Notts in their defence, but our backs lacked patience, panicked and kicked (badly) when we needed to re-cycle. I wonder if Casson and Forsythe is the best centre pairing as they are too similar. But perhaps a three week gap since a competitive game (as the B&I was played by youngsters) was the real culprit.
The difference in the score at the end was the first half missed kick by Notts. We were fortunate, but the 4 points will not go amiss.

Good to see in excess of 2000 in the Carnegie Stand - I thought the atmosphere was good, and would have been even better with a more inspired team performance.

Onwards and upwards.

The best centre pairing doesn't have Forsyth in it but would have burdon in. I would put Fred at 12. He has got a better game than the others.
The 10 must dictate and make it tick. Need Davies at 10 from now on. Our back just don't do anything at all! If Notts can shift it around WHY CAN'T WE? If you put lowes down for anything it would making the backline dangerous not flat and clueless.
I would sign Notts 9 too. He had been performing well for a few seasons now.
