Lozzer seems to have been caught in a trap: picked for England, he was due to attend a training camp meaning not being available to his club for one of the two weekends over which his ban extended.
So now he is unavailable for England. Sometimes the rfu has a lot of explaining to do......

Don't see why they should explain. The laws of rugby apply to everyone who plays the game and are there to create the game we love and to protect the players who play it. No exceptions, not even an England prospect. Not even Lozzer. Take the punishment and come back stronger and better as a result of the experience.

I was not in any way implying that the punishment was unjust or incorrect: but by having Lozzer flying to the Portugal training camp after the Saracens Premiership Cup match this weekend, his two match ban would have been completed before the S.A. match.
Lozzer has now been sent home from Portugal anyway, though not surprising as he is now ineligible for selection this weekend.
