I think not. I'd have them both on the bench and bring them on in the second half if the game is under control.

It's not our job to help England - we need to do what is best for both players in the context of what they can do for us up until May.

So we treat them both as if they were returning from injury - play them in slowly until their form improves. If that doesn't suit England - tough.

...
Nothing I cared, in the lamb white days, that time would take me
Up to the swallow thronged loft by the shadow of my hand,
In the moon that is always rising,
Nor that riding to sleep
I should hear him fly with the high fields
And wake to the farm forever fled from the childless land.
Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means,
Time held me green and dying
Though I sang in my chains like the sea.

I would certainly bench Floody and start Ford. Anybody know if Shazam's back on Sunday ? If so I'd start with him, but Grindal has just had two fine games, one against very good opposition an done against not so good. Would be pretty unfair to drop him for the somewhat misfiring prodigal son.

Blimey James - we must stop agreeing like this!

I think Sam might be out for at least this next week - Cockers said "a few weeks" a couple of weeks ago, didn't he? I agree that Grndal/Ford has looked good enough to start again, and we bring the returners off the bench.

Stick them on the bench. If Harrison fit then stick Grindal on the bench and leave YBY out.

Must sit down quickly. Pushing Grindal's cause!!

Grindal and Ford for me. Consistency is key, so why mess it around? England players won't be back till Wednesday. Same backline for me and if Flood and Youngs come back, put them on the bench.

There are things in the Leicester club you cannot buy; the ethos, the history and the spirit.

Other than Northampton, best performance of the season, why change anything?

What a strange turn of events - almost uniform agreement to keep James as starter...confused smiley

Completely agree mind...

I'd start Youngs and Flood. Still our best players.

While pleased that Grindall has done well in the past 2 games , on the basis of his past career there is a horror show just waiting round the corner .Lets hope Harrison is fit , but at least we'd have Youngs on the bench if a rescue act is needed .

England might not offer them back unless there is a promise of gametime, and maybe not even then.

Well that's not exactly a problem - if we don't want to play them then having them back is irrelevant. If we do we can give that undertaking.

What a mean spirited comment.

The lad has played his heart out for Tigers this last 2 games, not surprised by comments from James.

I always find a little encouragement goes a long way.

I would not choose Grindal over my mother so it has to be YBY if he is available. People say Grindal is playing well simply because he has not made too many errors like the ones he normally does. That is no reason to pick a player. What threat does he pose? how fast and accurate is his passing? how many defenders does he commit onto himself to free up others, how fast he is getting around the park to cover tackle etc etc etc etc etc. For all his poor form he is still acres better than JG.

No still don't get the vitriol directed at Grindal.

I've been a critic of his but fair do's he's played well in the last two games (one of which was against Sarries at Vicarage Road inflicting their first home defeat since the Autumn of 2010 iirc)

If such negative comments had been directed at YBY/Harrison after such events many on here (including me) would be hooting with derision.

I say again such comments are mean spitited and indeed spiteful and do those making them no credit.

I would add that James has not just been average or fortunate, but has played as well as any other these last 2 games, all IMO of course.
