'tis the Lord's day depending on your interpretation of calendars. My coloured egg day is next week. Chocolate hadn't yet been created in Mary Magdalene's day when she travelled to Rome to offer Emperor Tiberius a decorated egg in significance of the rebirth of Christ. I know we refer to it as a resurrection these days, but in Mary's day 'twas seen as a second birth, hence the egg sign of first being laid then being hatched.......please no smutty responses.
........and the thread significance, I'm listening to Planet Rock.
Tigergeezer Melton is a punk rocker
Melton is a punk rocker
Melton is a punk rocker now
It's not quite that simple - I'm a Neo-Mod Garage Euro-Glam Electro-Britpop Fusion Ulster-Punk; there's not many of us about you know. I think only German industrial techno-noise outfits sing about us - certainly not the Ramones.
If one wants to simplify matter I guess we have to follow Tarantino in Pulp Fiction, when Uma Thurman's character says everyone is either a Beatles man or an Elvis man - she is using "man" as generic term of course. I'm clearly a Beatles man...
I think the rest of us just let the old rockers get on with it when they start and go and do something more interesting instead.
I'm not denying the "old" bit but as someone who has been a green haired, punk, biker, hippie, feminist, art student, truck driver, knitter & spinner (amongst other things) in her time I try to avoid (or collect; depending on your point of view) labels.
