I know they have a constituency but:

Quote:
Saints were upset about the length of the ban and with Leicester boss Richard Cockerill protesting so much about the incident, labelling it ďas bad an injury as I have seen on a rugby fieldĒ.
Cockerillís outburst was in stark contrast to Mallinderís when Manu Tuilagi was given a five-week ban for a three-punch assault on Chris Ashton in last seasonís derby at Welford Road.

What?(Sm105)

To begin at the beginning:

It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless
and bible-black, the cobblestreets silent and the hunched,
courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the
sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboatbobbing sea.

Even if it was a month or so he'd still not be available for this game, he was a naughty boy stop complaining.

It is a real shame that Mallinder is still trying to let this incident overshadow a rather tasty encounter.

Mallinder doesn't live in Desborough, does he...?

He almost seems to be justifying the actions !!

Obscene quotes from Mallinder. He was hardly quiet at the time of Manu-gate!

All Cockerill commented on was that 'there's a citing process' and 'it's a bad injury'. Doesn't Jim think it's a bad injury?

As for 'we're without a player', well so are we! Hawkins isn't available is he?!?

It's the idea that the two incidents are comparators that confuses me.

I know the C&E is filtering Mallinder's comments - and I doubt that he sees things quite as they have portrayed them - but I do not see how this will help keep things calm on Sat.

Disgusting. Unless Jim Mallinder comes out and says he's been misquoted or that his comments have been taken out of context he's just sunk to the same depths as Clark. Trying to justify what Calum Clark did or even mitigate what Clark did is obscene. 32 weeks? The thug should have been banned for life and sued by Rob Hawkins.

Largely the distorting prism of the reporting, I think - but Mallinder's experienced enough to know that the quotes will be selected to suit the story. I expect Cockers to repeat the "we draw a line under it and move on" line.

Mallinder's always been a cock though what do you expect?

The RFU are expecting a fight they've appointed Pearson and Barnes to the match, looks like Northampton just want to start yet another brawl. Probably because they aren't good enough to win the match.

You would be brave enough to repeat your first paragraph him face to face I am sure. Idiot!!

* Possibly not, so they will need a page out of 'Tigers book of skulduggery' to win it then?

Why not? I've said worse to Edwards or Mcgeechan.

I don't remember tigers book of skullduggery ever extending to hair pulling or elbow breaking so it seems your singing from the wrong hymn sheet.

Mallinder also the man who called for Cockerill to be banned after last years semi final, yep he likes to keep himself to himself.

What a cock though, I hope Cockerill decks him when we beat them, maybe with a broken jaw he'll actually be able to keep his mouth shut?

Surely he would just shake his hand and completely accidentally break his wrist by twisting it all the way round.

The best wind-up would be Zen-like calm. Not easy for Cockers, I appreciate, but maybe achievable here?

Om...

Om....

Mind you, I never did have the flexibility to do a convincing Lotus position. And what is that thing with the fingers in a "zero" gesture resting on the knees?

Unusual cock like behaviour from Mallinder I think. Still have hopes that the game will be a good 'un though. Can't remember the last Saints / Tigs game that wasn't a good rumble.

Defense, defense, defense, defense. Yeah, yeah, yeah !
