STHs Give Back Your Tickets

As a non-STH who has tickets for Bath, this doesn't affect me but if it did, I'm sure I'd prefer a straight refund to two tickets for the first game next year, especially if I'd already renewed.

Give back your tickets!

Possibly but actually a good sales tool for the first game if ST holders bring along a friend

That's assuming the first game of the season wouldn't have sold out anyway. Wot if it's Saints?

Whilst I'm all for getting my season ticket seat sat in if I can't go, why bother giving it back to the club for no real benefit to me? Have got my season ticket seats for the games next season!!

I'd prefer for my seat not to be used or give it away to someone of my choice. Ill judged by the club imvho.

TBH if I couldn't make it to the game and hadn't got someone else to lend my (non transferable) ticket to I'd probably do it. Why not? It's good for the club to be able to sell the ticket and good for the team to have a full house of supporters cheering them on.

Whilst I don't disagree ra, why do the club dress it up that they're giving me something great and valuable in return for my paid for seat? Now if they said they'd give me the cash they got for it so I could then chose to donate it to Hambo say ......

You'd rather have your seat unused than help a fellow supporter, whilst have some freebies that you can give to friends next season?

How is providing this optional facility 'ill judged'.

Edit: format.

I imagine it's more straightforward and less costly for the club to send out free tickets for another game than organising refunds (which would involve bank charges on top of the face value of the refund). I suppose that some people would be pleased with the offer of free tickets for another game and some not, I personally wouldn't have a problem with knowing that someone could use my ticket when I can't.

I have to agree, the idea is good, surely getting a full house and giving people free tickets to use as they wish, is something for nothing, compared to other options ?
After all if you give the ticket to someone else you can't go with them, if you get a free ticket next season you can go with them ?

Am I not allowed to decide what happens to something I've paid for?

My decision?

Go to the game!

Are the club not entitled to offer a facility that you do not have to take advantage off? How is this 'ill judged'?

Best that it becomes an automatic donation to Matt, that way the ground is full(er), fans enjoy, good is done and no one loses.

Let's face it, if a STH doesn't attend a game they lose nothing.

As explained above, the club have dressed this up as if you are getting something of great value in return which imvho you're not.

I really don't see how an optional facility that might benefit a few is 'ill judged', and I certainly don't see any argument in support of your accusation. Indifference I might understand, but hostility I don't. Still, let's leave it at that.

Funny, I suggested Quins should do just this a while back. There is a way to sell your unused seat at Quins using viagogo, or you can give it a friend or family (as I have done in the past), but I have suggested to them they should have a system where, especially on a last minute change (and we have had a couple this year) you let it go knowing the seat would be used rather than empty.

Can't see how anybody can complain about this offer.

I support the Honourable member for Sandbank, certainly thin the idea of donating the proceeds to Matt is a good one.

How ever it is the last game of the regular season, against Bath and the final league position position may be determined.

I will be there an if I cannot make it would like Matt to benefit.

Come on Yorkie it is only money.

Sale offer this for every game. They may not next season though - they are claiming to have already doubled STH numbers from 3k to 6k for Barton. £99 for a covered terrace at one end is proving very popular apparently

Doesn't bother me. I wouldn't miss this game for all the tea in China, or should that be all the China in the tea.
