If his injury is a 4/6 month job then he should be fit again between end of August and end of October.

So at best he could be fit for the beginning of the season and at worst at the end of October. However if the latter at least we'll not lose him for the Autumn international nonsense.

Not like for like, but newbs on the bench offers some real grit to close out a match.

Did you spot the last para in that article about George Ford?

"But while those six are set to miss out on the tour, one man who looks likely to be boarding the plane to South Africa is Leicester youngster George Ford. The fly-half has been tipped for international recognition after a series of impressive performances and he has been omitted from the England Under-20 side for the 2012 Junior World Championships which seemingly paves the way for him to be part of the senior tour."

Typical arrogance from the RFU announcing our players injuries when we might have not wanted that information in the public domain. The RFU Blazers never change their spots.

I highly doubt that the Blazers are running the website, probably they aren't really aware of what the internet is.

It's the same Blazer mindset, though, that we know better than you and we'll do what we see fit.

But I agree - it should have been up to us to announce it.

...
To begin at the beginning:

It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless
and bible-black, the cobblestreets silent and the hunched,
courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the
sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboatbobbing sea.

Agreed too Rich. Speaking to one of the players tonight, they couldn't believe the initial tests came back all clear. He was apparently walking around with a crooked neck all week!

There are things in the Leicester club you cannot buy; the ethos, the history and the spirit.

The RFU have ruined any chance of taking a tactical advantage from this.

Agree with others that it's a big miss. Steeeeeve is great but having both of them as options is important, now we are very reliant on him.

It would be devastating to lose our lineout strength at this stage of the season.

Why are the 57 vintage methane bubbles announcing who's not in the squad before the season's even ended anyway? Bunch of petrols.

Precisely! They're our players at the minute - not theirs!

Petrols?

Is that rhyming slang?

They're going to announce the touring squad the week before the final just to nicely destabilise both sides before the biggest game of the season!

Yup. Alternatively "Oils".
