When asked by Craig Doyle how he though Saffers re-signed all those big names in £4.5M he replied :

Maybe those boys just want desperately to play for Saracens, after all its a SPECIAL place. Perhaps they play for cheaper than our boys ?

The quality of the squad has also declined which is one reason for our poor prformance in Europe.

Heard one rumour that Sarries were being investigated.

(now if I was organising payments outside the noose I would make some payments from organised speeches in SA through offshore accounts in SA of which there must be plenty) all in good fun and rivalry and must be OK because politicians do it

Trying to prove they are special I guess.

Rumours are usually hope coupled with speculation. I "heard" from a "guru" at my local club that the RFU knew ALL ABOUT Saracens finances but turned a blind eye because it supported their aims of shaking up PRL and England. He's a wealth of brilliance and BS however in equal portions so I don't place too much reliance upon him.

Whatever it is that attracts high quality and presumably expensive players to a club without a ground or supporters must be "special" indeed, thats all I can say.

My post was mostly about the laugh cockers was having over this, not another salacious thread about Saffercens finances, but I'm happy to wade in grinning smiley !

Man who walks with boot on other foot may end up a cripple.

If we are bending the salary cap we're doing a pretty poor job of it looking at the lack of caps in our second string ! smiling smiley
