That seems to send a pretty firm message,

"Mediate THIS (Sm49) "

Mediator?

Have the Celts fallen out with each other or are they ganging up on the Italians?

Perhaps they have just not got the message, I can help them out a bit. THE TIME FOR TALKING HAS GONE, DONE, FINISHED, ERC ARE DEAD IN THE WATER. They might be able to salvage a 'rump' Celto/Italic competion.

According to a very reliable source on the Stade Francais forum the Lnr has not yet signed an agreement with the Ffr about player release this season. As a gesture of goodwill the clubs have released players for an EDF training session this week. Without the agreement the FFR have no powers to call up the internationals. The Irb maybe have but as French Employment law says the employer I.e. the clubs is responsible for their employees it could be interesting if they send out an amateur side against the All Blacks.

It seems that in LNR's case, revenge truly is a dish best served cold

Indeed now they really will understand what a "fait accompli" means.

Does anyone else feel that Monsieur Lux has missed his true vocation? I would love to see him on stage in Live at The Apollo, perhaps under his stage name Monsieur Canute?

Jean-Pierre seems to be an advocate of the theory that if you repeat something often enough it becomes the truth.

I suspect that when this battle is over not only will ERC be swept away but there will have been a revolution in French rugby such that the pro clubs will be more-or-less running the FFR.

Be very careful, RFU, if you want to avoid the same happening in England.

I find it bizarre that the Tory graph is pushing the ERC message so devoutly. "Heineken Cup rebels", indeed. If that makes Peter Wheeler a Johnny Reb, then yee-haw, I say.

Are the mistakes made by cricket at the time of the Kerry Packer era about to be repeated? What about referees; are good referees even more important than good umpires? Do the 'authorities' usually win out in the end?

With the unions on board there should not be a problem.

I expect all these matters are being discussed.

The French Union does not seem to be on board.

Quelle surprise! Their problem is they are paper tigers as they don't have the main assets in this, the players. The ERC and Lux are in their death throes and similar to any dying creature they are lashing out aimlessly.
