Missed the first England game but watched the second.

George played very well and so I hope will prove this doubter wrong when he wears a Tigers shirt. Mature if unspectacular performance for me but hardly an armchair ride either.

Am still very concerned re his "value for money" and who his backup is when he can't play for Tigers due to invitational demands though. We still need another quality 10 or 12. Or preferably an experienced quality 10/12.

Just need YBY to sort out the accuracy of his pass now!

Isn't Toomua the experienced 10/12 you seek ?
Perhaps the cover we need when Ford is away is cover for 12, which we might have ?

Toomua is our first choice, starting 12. You can only play him in one position. And, if he gets injured again, where is the depth of cover?

Curious George was very good in both games, and his place kicking was a revelation compared to what I've seen through the season (although he has had good kicking runs fr Barf, so it may just be a streak thnng that you have to try to even out). I'm looking forward to seeing him back for Tigers; but I do still think and agree that we are thin at centre. Good solid cover is needed - I wouldn't say no to a Bai type.

Last season we had Manu and Toomua as our premier centre partnership, bot as we know were injured for most of the season, we had Smith, Betham, Williams (Owen), Roberts and Catchpole as cover.

With the rumour that Catchpole is leaving we only have Smith available as cover for next season. We must have some cover particularly as Toomua is our 10 cover.

Are we expecting Jordan and Ryan Olowofela plus Smith to cover centre?

Joe Ford can cover 10.

If that is the answer then not quite sure what the question is! Does it involve Ryan Lamb?

Think maybe the Club have thought their intentions through .. and they may not be the same as the rumours on the other thread that seem to be causing so much speculation

George Ford was a revelation in Argentina and if he can replicate that for us consistently then I'll be happy .. maybe he plans to train his brother up to the same standard?

This pantomime; just put it .. behind you!

I agree and think we just need to give Jo a chance far to much negative comments on the lad.

IMHO George suffers because he often plays extremely well and makes it look very easy. Unfortunately that kind of class can be deceptive.
As for his brother I can see no reason to doubt his ability to be a good back up and think that criticism of him before he has even played for us is premature at least.
