Exeter's rolling maul

Exeter's rolling maul after a lineout has always been impressive and a great source of tries for them. But watching how they set up today, I reckon most of the time they are doing so illegally. They go past the player holding the ball before they bind on. Protecting the ball carrier giving the impression that defenders are offside.

Yep. Same at the ruck.

If it's now 'legal' we need to get better at it.

That point with the ruck does my head in. It happens all the time but refs are oblivious to it or ignoring it.
Along with the Taking players out 2 m beyond the ruck without ever binding on at all. Which surely means 'offside'.
