However just because they're our own doesn't mean they aren't good enough. I'd hate to appoint an outsider and lose Brett/Boris/geordan to someone else. Need a bit of stability now.

I think that's important as well. It's a tricky balancing act.

Geordan is an ASSISTANT coach, he has never been responsible for the backs except with the Anglo Welsh squad. Aaron Mauger was head coach and had particular responsibility for the backs and overall tactics although not always if ever in agreement with the Forwards coach Cocker. Scottie was the defence and skills coach with Blazey doing lineouts. Mauger changed things that had been working, his ultimate aim may have been a great idea but he needed more time and fit players. Matt O'Connor is head coach with special responsibility for the backs and overall tactics like Aaron but without the constraint of having his direct boss coaching the forwards. Deacs having proved himself with the Academy and Anglo Welsh squads is forwards and defence coach and appears to be making a decent job of it. Why change things? If it aint bust don't fix it, judging by the last three games we are improving, the chemistry between the coaches seems right lets keep it so. We are not going to win every game but as a team we look better than we have done for some time.
