Tigers have named their squad for the Champions Cup Squad which is a total of 41 players but what is interesting is one the names of the missing players, Chris Baumann, Tom Croft, Jono Kitto, George Catchpole, Jonah Holmes.
Correct me if I am wrong but is the squad named for the group stages of the cup only?

As you say, raises some interesting questions. I think 2 can be replaced at the end of the group stages. Possibly one more Front Row can be added or something too.

Baumann - is he injured? Or just well down pecking order.
Croft - is he injured? I think so, and seems to be well out of favour too.
Kitto - down pecking order and out on loan
Catchpole - is he injured? If not then C. Thacker now officially ahead of him
Holmes - is he injured? If not then Worth and Pakalani now ahead of him

I was hoping to see plenty of Catchpole and Holmes in the Anglo-Welsh so if they are injured hopefully not too badly.

You can replace 3 players during the group stage, one of whom must be a front rower, you are entitled to re-register the original player as well.

After the group stage you can nominate more players.

I'm so used to Croft being missing I didn't even spot that he wasn't included!

once we have your first and 2nd choice XV's alot of the squad will come down to who is more versatile.

Why have Manu in the squad?
If & lets be honest a big if he gets fit then add him!
Also no Dan Tuohy in squad(I assume his home club don't want him reg) so our 2nd rows need to get fit!!

I guess so if we do find a manu replacement we can add.

Nope

Maybe a very short term deal with us and Bristol want the opportunity for him to go out on loan again elsewhere not cup tied?

Or his deal wasn't done in time to go in our squad?

Or his deal at Tigers is not long enough for us to be able to include him?
