As Diamond would say the referee was making it up as time went buy.

Not helped by his assistants too.

I take it those comments are meant in an ironic sense?

Hate to defend a ref but we didn't lose out that badly to him imvho. We got our fair share of the "rub of the green".

I only dipped in and out and then watched the end so am guessing cumulatively we'd been taking a bit of a kicking in the pack. But the yellow card maul was a nonsense, the scrums were then lopsided but wasn't going backwards and their pack weren't driving forward so a harsh penalty try too. So all seemed a bit harsh to me.

It was a great performance but it does show that there’s no substitute for experience when you’re packing down.

Hence why I would recall Rizzo from Edinburgh for the Premiership games whilst Genge is away

Much deserved praise for our young team against Bath last evening. What about some recognition for our young coaches who prepared the team?

Given the comments from some about our former players who are now coaching, they also deserve some praise.

MOC is now our Head Coach who has delivered remarkable change in the way we play the game, our much maligned young coaches deserve some credit for taking MOCs changes and improving performances.

Geordan who Cockers championed as a future DOR to follow him.

Bret Deacon who answered the call when our defence was was dire and turned it around.

Boris who was coaching the scrum for Coventry returned to coach or scrum.

Then there is Ant Allen in a typical quiet way has been bringing the best out of our young backs. Passing and off loading and delivering performances we could only dream of.

I would agree they need wider experience, just may be the club will send this group to the southern hemisphere to spend time learning from the All Blacks, Australia, Argentina plus other sports.

Was Richard right Geordan could make a future DOR?

With Boris, Bret and Ant a future coaching team to take us forward after MOC?
