That will be interesting. It's great to see ex-players taking up this career option, hopefully there will be more doing the same.

Good to see ex-players blowing the whistle. He will, I hope, be more consistent than some of our recent whistle carriers.

I hope his recent playing experiences v Tigers don't colour his opinion of us. "Ref, we wouldn't do that!"

He'll be fine as long as we win....

Good to see someone who has played at the top level and recently.

Oh no! Performed well and with empathy and good communication with the players? We'll have to hope for inconsistency and a hyperactive tmo then, or who can we blame?

This pantomime; just put it .. behind you!

/and we get Nigel Owens for the last Euro game of the season (for Tigers that is). Shame we didn't get him earlier.

We couldn’t have Nigel v Munster, it would have been accusations of pro 12 Celtic cabal after they stuffed us

I question how he can have been promoted on merit to the Premiership, gaining the required refereeing experience, whilst still being an active player until May.

Brother of a former Northampton captain too ....

Yeah, let's give him a fair crack, these rookies tend to do well when they start as they want to impress and they know how the game is played

Inclined to agree with Idle. He's not yet been institutionalised.

Actually, that thought/concept is frightening!

"We're all rubbish so don't you go and be good so as to show the rest of us up!" Bullying?
