Barf red in the face
12 January, 2018 20:32
Well, more scarlet actually

They are playing as full a strength team as they can but are 3 v 22 [three tries] down at half time at home to Llanelli, the away team having been down to 14 men for 10 minutes too

LLanelli are playing as I can imagine M O'C aspires to

Then I suggest we poach Stephen Jones

Poach ? Boil? Fry? Entrecote?

I think he's a little too committed to Llanelli and Wales to want to come here

Elsewhere Glaws have stuffed Agen in France 24 v 45

Cocker's Edinburgh are 12 v 6 up at home to Stade Francais despite a paucity of props, but that could bite them in the 8um later

I love watching Scarlets, last season's Pro12 playoffs were an incredible display of what they are capable of.

At least this will mean Ballsout will be absent from this board for a couple of weeks. Bath were better under Mike Ford tbh. (Sm100)

Barf's recovery is stifled by Llanelli .. 10 minutes to go and it's 10 v 32

French referee though, so there has to be mileage there (Sm151)

Scarlets played fantastic rugby in the first half. Stopsy will be singing about saucepans and doing other sorts or weird Welsh stuff no doubt.

It illustrated the fact that Tigers' problems aren't just about needing more huge bodies to win the collisions. Fortunately, rugby matches can still be won by teams with physicality - yes, to be sure - but also with pace, great hands and vision.

Saw the result in the airport this morning, smiled, while I like Llanelli’s style of play, I’ll not crow about their opposition, there but for the grace of the pool draw etc.

But they had forward power, a good set-piece, and great backs play.

Scarlet's Irish Lock, Beirne, was Austin's MOM with most carries, tackles and a lovely sidestep try. Shame he's signed up with Munster for next season. But I agree it's not just size; I think 'physicality' is a better description. And all the Scarlet's players have good hands and excel at support play.

They were a joy to watch last night, but did they not lose at home to Barf?

Could we permit such imperfections?

Just read the match thread on the Bath board, was like looking in the mirror unfortunately.

Cracking game, no better way to spend a Friday night indoors (except watchingTigers do that to Someone else).

Yes, if by full strength you mean missing: Attwood, Auterac, Batty, Catt, Ellis, Ewels, Faletau, Knight, Louw, Palma-Newport, Perenise, Walker, Clark, Homer, Rokoduguni, Williams, losing Priestland after 3 minutes and having Banahan and Underhill playing their first game in a while. But yes, other than that, first choice.

Well yeah, that's what teams do isn't it, play as full a strength team as they can??
