No. There’s no point at the best of times and anyway WB is the best around imho, in the Premiership if not beyond.

What a waste - these two teams don't warrant it - we might as well have Tempest or Carley and let the good sides have the good ref.

...

Doesn`t matter , the result will be purely circumstantial and as a "one off" not the end of the world.

How times change. 5 years ago id have groaned at seeing his name. Now, he really is head an shoulders above most (if not all, inc Garces and untouchable Nige)

That's not to say we won't identify, ahem, ' further room for improvement'
😉

Well said Preston. I do think he may be even ahead of “the untouchable” now.

I still remember a game at the Stoop when we scored a try and then waited for about five minutes whilst Wayne B checked first the grounding (ok), then back to check a forward pass(ok) then further back to check for a knock on (there wasn't one) He might even have checked something else. In the meantime before he reluctantly had to award a try Quins supporters told me he lived just down the road at Whitton and socialised with their players.

Hopefully that just means he wants to be sure he's got it right rather than offer Hardlywins favouritism, but it's a good excuse for post-match rants come Saturday

And Quins fans will gladly tell you about the time he erroneously penalised and sin binned Will Skinner for diving on a ball he had just declared to be "out", then changing his mind. It's swings and roundabouts with all refs
