Ryan Bower only given 2 weeks suspension.

Apparently because he knew what he was doing and was in control. Maximum discount etc.

You can't make this up it's so skewed.

OK I know people will say it can't be so BUT Tigers allways are treated harsher than any other club.(Sm19)

It really is time they stopped calling them disciplinary tribunals and called them what they are: sentencing hearings.

The Fonotonia one is just odd. He uses his elbow to leverage off North but hardly "strikes him" with his elbow or forearm.

Certainly if that is a ban where was the red card and ban for Takalua's smash on Olowofela in the Newcastle game?

Everything seems so harsh and so arbitrary at the moment. Its either play on (and don't you dare moan or criticise a ref or "play act") or its a red card, several week ban you-know-what-you-did you dirty cheating barsteward don't play the innocent we need your sort banned.

Made an example of to protect the t.m.o./ref from the controversy which reigned is the best sense I can make of it

It is still important to ensure the ref remains the sole arbiter, but judgements must be seen to be just, nonetheless

The referee is the final arbitrary

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Surely he should be free to play until the panel bans him not the other way round?

They are probably trying to calculate the appropriate 'non-whiteboy' tariff which they then need to apply to the relevant 'guess-point' for the offence before subtracting the 'right club' mitigation multiplier and lastly...what was that? Gin did you say? Don't mind if I do...

Next week then eh?

IT's about how little they can wangle him whilst ensuring he'll be available for the Jones Jollies this autumn as there is no other back up for Billy available.

Apparently his twitter account tweeted 'what a joke' half way through the meeting. This was then deleted. I imagine the new investigation may be in to how this tweet happened.

Indeed, ban agreed, now just to decide if it might be made longer.

Surely that's conflating two issues?

Ban him for the punch (if guilty), then investigate the tweet on "bringing the game into disrepute" (which to be fair tweeting during a hearing is, regardless of being innocent or guilty of the original offence) as a separate matter.

It's almost as if you're expecting them to be professional, impartial and capable of displaying the slightest semblance of integrity.

They don't know what they are doing and they are perfectly pleased with themselves for allowing every prejudice and personal bias influence what they do.

Where do you draw the line, if he did tweet “what a joke” surely they can only punish the act of tweeting as his message appears spot on
