So tonight we'll find out whether ..

.. Kyle Eastmond is to be discouraged from tackling

.. do we have a tackling-technique coach?

.. interesting the Beeb highlight the different refereeing judgements .. will the colour of the card affect the disciplinary joke panel's sentence?

The referee is the final arbitrary

Any punishment should be doubled as he obviously hasn't learned anything from when he was Will Spencer.

The bigger problem will be that he demonstrably hasn't learnt anything from exactly the same offence last season for Wasps against 'Quins.
Perhaps we can tell the panel he has a good disciplinary record and they won't check!

They're not that stupid Ian... Tell them he was a junior when it happened, that'll do the trick

But he wears the same colours and plays for that team that never gets an additional tarrif for being a Tiger , so expect a totally fair and considerate punishment, a la Spencer.

What I can't understand is how a relative midget (in rugby terms) continually gets it so wrong with his tackling technique.

2 taken off if he pleads guilty straight away. A week added on for 'previous' then 2 taken off for showing remorse', it'l never happen again Guv', then 1 added on for taking 3 biscuits then two taken off for putting 1 biscuit back, What does that leave us with?

Eastmond plead guilty to the charge and was suspended for four weeks by the independent disciplinary panel comprising of John Brennan (chair), Matt Bayliss and Tony Wheat. He is free to play again on 1 January 2019.

Independent panel chair John Brennan said:ĒThe player accepted the charge and accepted through his representative that the entry point was mid-range due to there being direct contact to the head of the opponent. The panel acknowledged his plea, his remorse for the incident and his apology but could not give the player full mitigation of 50% due to his having been sanctioned for dangerous tackling last season. As such, the entry point was reduced by two weeks rather than three.Ē

Inconsistencies in applying the high tackle law and how the tariffs are applied really need sorting. Cipriani 3 week ban but does not miss a single League or European game as applied during the Premiership Cup games where he might have played once. Eastmond abd Spencer both miss four big games.
If the tackle was deemed with force to the head then surely an HIA on the tackled player is required!
Trying hard not to belief there is a Tigers tariff!!
