You don't cite players for receiving a red card (unless the red is for the second yellow in a game). A red card results in an automatic appearance before the disciplinary committee.

Rhodes wasn't sanctioned during the game for his actions but, given it was broadly the same thing Kalamafoni was carded for, he should have been and therefore now should be cited.

Do not be silly Kalamafoni is a South sea Islander so must be guilty, have you not seen the Laws?

Helpfully the replay on the highlights I saw showed Kalamafoni from such a stupid angle I'm still none the wiser if it was a harsh red card as some insist or a bang to rights one as other insist!

That Rhodes hasn't been cited does beggar belief though. It seems a total lottery what they do and don't penalise.

From what I saw of Kalamafoni (and what they said on the radio), it was definitely a red.

Good, he's definitely worthy of it.

The Flatman Show provided a rear angle shot which clearly shows a swinging arm to Beaumont's head. Geordan needs to watch his post match interview technique - it's not wise to attempt to defend the indefensible. Better to adopt the haven't seen the video yet line. He's in danger of becoming a bit of a whinger. It's not the fault of the referees that we are where we are.

Very surprised that everyone seems to be ignoring the headbutt from Beaumont which provoked Kalamafoni's reaction.

Did he? If true he should have been carded, but that doesn't excuse Kalamafoni.

Didn't say it did excuse him. Very out of character for him.
