Marketing for Quins Game

Came back into Waterloo via Kingston yesterday - good to see large posters up for the Quins Wembley game at stations all along the line. Good idea to get into Quins patch with the advertising.

The other night there were flyers for the game being given out at London Bridge.

They're aiming to sell seats in the upper tier for this game so that would mean at least a 51,000 plus crowd to make that happen

Also noticed posters while out on Ware this lunchtime, which I have not seen for previous games.

Posters out in Clapham. Looks like they aim to cover the entire South West of London with an ad campaign!

And nothing in Welwyn GC yet.... Surely places like the Galleria and others will have posters? And maybe as far away as Milton Keynes?

There appears to be no marketing in the surrounding catchment areas to Wembley ie. Watford, Harrow etc. Surely these are the areas to go for broke as they are the people who would attend VR on cold wet Sundays not necessarily people who have an estimated 1 - 2 hour journeys.

Saw a chappie at Bank station handing out flyers earlier in the week.

On a slightly differant but related subject :-

My local Football Club Stevenage Borough have been doing some self marketing this week. For the last 2 days they have had the FA Trophy on display and handing out flyers at Stevenage Station they are in the Semi Finals and also they are in contention for promotion into the football league for the first time ever......big push for support.

Tag Line Your Town.......Your Team

Alas not someting Sarries could really use !

Welwyn RFC - maybe, but that's (almost) preaching to the converted. Nothing in the town centre to attract those who like rugby. Maybe there should be a mock crossbar challenge near the shops?

Not one in St Albans? I saw one in the hairdressers on London Road and on Victoria Street, but ever since Real Sports closed down there has been a real lack of Sarries related promotion about.
