What? Only 3 minutes of Premiership Rugby?

Probably about 150 seconds too long, bless him!

That is definitely illistrous, isn't it?

Zoot 22 February, 2012 21:24
Wasn't he signed as a sop to a Japanese sponsor at the time? Had a bit of success with the Japanese 7s team, but never quite cut the mustard at the 15 man game.

Still, he's made Wikipedia, which is more than most of us can say!

Interesting quote on the beeb article on this
Beeb!

Relating to Ernst

"The 31-year-old has scored 157 points across his 81 games for McCall's side."

This would seem to indicate that either

a) BBC have got their facts wrong as usual

or

b) Ernst has scored a lot more points than I remember (30 ish tries in 3 years??) and must have scored some points with the boot as well to make it end in 7?!

Have I slept through an Ernie drop goal from the halfway line special somewhere?

JB

I saw this one the fish and was going to ask the same but thought it might have just been a mistake. I think there's a few others on the site that must've knocked over some kicks who I didn't expect.

Re: 18 extended contracts
Delynagh 22 February, 2012 21:32
I thought he came on as replacement fly half the night London Irish put 50 points + over us, at home (mid week game.)

Re: 18 extended contracts
AlanE 22 February, 2012 21:42
We can only blame the Beeb for theft, not for getting their figures wrong

They nicked that stat from the Sarries website showing the first team listing (see the link).

The Aviva premiership site which might be considered to be more accurate (even to the number of seconds of rugby played by Kenny) shows him as playing 58 matches and scoring 55 points.

So in other matches he scored 102 points from 23 appearances. Hmmm.

Re: 18 extended contracts
Zoot 23 February, 2012 08:24
On Ernie, the 'fish says 46 points this season. That means 111 in previous seasons. I can't recall any kicking going on, but if correct, it must mean more than one kicks this season and more than one in previous seasons.

AP stats have him as 11 tries in the Prem in total.

Re: 18 extended contracts
Neil-H 23 February, 2012 10:22
With Brits, do you think now you have Smit n basically retired from international rugby, change in management at international level, that he may be going home to revive his international career?

As last management was always going to play smit as captain and had Bismark on bench, who imho is best all round hooker in world... not that Brits isn't far behind him

So do you think he may go home?, sad as a Saints fan I love to watch him play?

Rob, that sounds suspiciously like inside knowledge from the Fans Forum...

Re: 18 extended contracts
danilo2 23 February, 2012 11:16
I'm fairly convinced Stretts will be a re-signing after Ed G made a comment about 'wingers like David Strettle will love the Copthall pitch'

And I'd be staggered if Schalk was involved in the FF last night if he wasn't staying.

Wikipedia really is a crock of sh|t!

Kenny impressed in the Varsity Match!! You've got to be joking - he repeatedly failed to find touch as the Twickers pitch was too big for him sad smiley (not that I minded as he was playing for the tabs).

I think his words last night were 'Why would I want to go anywhere else?'..........which was just after him turning up late as he'd been to the dentist after being hit (tackled) by Jackson Wray and taking the mick out of Ed which he continued to do for most of the night.

Delighted that both Rhys and Carlos have pledged their future to the team. When Rhys announced he was off I for one was pretty worried, especially considering his raw talent while the rumours re. Carlos have been flying round. Hopefully tommorow we will see the re-signing of Chris Wyles for one!

Derick Hougaard
Mouritz Botha
Owen Farrell
Chris Wyles
Jamie George
James Short

So who would you like to see re-signed today?

Top of my list would be Wyles and Goode, and with rumours of him on his way to Wuss, Powell as well.
