Powell? If he isn;t included, he will be very noticable by his absence due to the Wuss rumours.

So, who is left?
Burger, Brown, Strettle, Short, Borthwick?

Depends who's out-of-contract soon. I don't think we know this for the most part do we?

Nope, just idle speculation whilst munching my sushi.

Could potentially make myself look stupid, however I would be surprised if Powell stays with us. He's now behind Brad in the pecking order at 12, while we can also calll upon Owen and Sam Stanley leaving him getting dribs and drabs for game time.

IMO it would be better for his career to move on, not that I want him to!

Good to see the young wingers signing up, considering how our rugby is perceived, we must be doing something right to keep talent like that!

What can be implied from the missing names?

Barritt
Saull
Powell
Strettle
Borthwick
Goode

Did they resign last year?

Re: 18 extended contracts
Convex Hull 24 February, 2012 17:41
Well, Barritt, Goode and Saull did according to CTP above. So, that leaves Powell, Strettle and Throbwick.

Re: 18 extended contracts
CT 24 February, 2012 17:52
Borthwick and NdK signed new contracts just before the start of the season. Not sure if Strettle signed on for 2 or 3 years when he joined.

Re: 18 extended contracts
McSaracens 24 February, 2012 22:53
IIRC Strettle signed a three year deal while I cannot see Borthwick leaving considering the regard he is held at with the fans and coaching staff. Add to that I suspect he has a nice pay packet each month!

That leaves us with Adam Powell, Kameli Ratovou and Michael Tagi as potential players who could be on the way out. Looking at Michael's two performances over the past two weeks I would like to see him stay, perhaps moving into the centres?

Question now is that with the signings completed where do we want players to come in? For me prop is still an issue, would love a new loosehead!

They're only going to have 16 players next season. Can't risk breaching the celery cap y'know.
