Mixed feelings seeing Clark in a Sarries kit in the training vid (as I guess some of you will have for a different reason judged by previous comments) I wish him all the best and think he'll turn out to be a good acquisition.

A number of things that stand out for me from Barty's list: the lack of depth at tighthead, number 8 and fly half.

I know that Burger can play at 8 but that's a very different style of play to Billy.

If Owen and Alex get picked for England then that leaves Max.

At tighthead we have 3 props all of whom are somewhat injury prone and one that is already injured.

I hope Mark has a plan!

i suspect that Alex didn't do himself any favours in Argentina - went down in the pecking order a little bit. Not the falls of Yarde and Slade, but a drop none the less. Teo has done himself no harm with the lions

Depth at 10 is immensely good. I'd say.

We could always get Nils back...
Alex is a more than capable 10, and we have plenty of 15s.
Prop is more of a worry.

@Beshocked, why is the depth at 10 good when England are playing - I agree it's fine outside of the internationals, it's during the Autumn series and 6 nations that I'm worried.

During the internationals we will lose: Faz and Loz to England, Liam to Wales; Sean and Duncan to Scotland.

Leaving Alex or Max at 10 and Wyles or Gallagher at 15.

In November we play:
Glos (A)
Exeter (H)

During the 6 Nations we play:

Falcons (H)
Sharks (A)
Tigers (H)
Exeter (A)

Meaning we play the champions twice without our internationals.

I think we'll get Loz back for games, if he's selected for the EPS.

I do think that if Prem Rugby wants to grow as a competition then they have to look at international windows, for me, it degrades the competition. A huge game like Prem champions vs European champions would be a box office event in Football, can it be in Rugby if the best players aren't on show?

Not quite same missing for Exeter though!!
At least we are stronger in some departments than last season & hopefully wont have crippling injury crisis we had last year

By my count, we're now only a second scrum half away from an entirely internationally capped 23. There's a lot of caps about:

England: 12 players - Barritt, Clark, Farrell, George, Goode, Isiekwe, Itoje, Kruis, Lozowski, Vunipola, Vunipola, Wigglesworth

South Africa: 3 players - Brits, Burger, Koch

Argentina: 2 players - Bosch, Figallo

Scotland: 2 players - Maitland, Taylor

Wales: 2 players - Day, Williams

USA: 2 players - Lamositele, Wyles

Australia: 1 player - Skelton

France: 1 player - Tolofua

Didn't Goodey play scrum half for a few minutes for England once?

You're right! I was actually there for that one! It was England v Fiji in 2012. Care had been yellow carded and Glenda was reffing.

Alex was clearly concerned about being pinged for a wonky feed by a mate. So put the ball in straight, missing both hookers!

Right now, I feel about as knackered as Aaron Smith's Press Officer!

Thanks DG! Minor update made - noted that Ralph Adams-Hale and Dom Morris are currently on dual registration with Bedford Blues. Would expect one or two more of the youngsters to follow suit but no official announcement from either club yet - this happened in June the last couple of years but the lateness this time may be because Bedford have been fairly active in the player market and don't know what holes they might need to plug yet.

Updated with the "extended" academy squad. Might see a few of them in the Anglo-Welsh coming up!
