Guessing Rhodes isn't quite fully fit after his op?

Looks a good team, little surprised to not see CC in the squad, is he injured? Or are they just giving him more time to get up to speed?

Thought Tolofua would make the bench, but looks like he's playing for Storm from his twitter posts.

A nice surprise to see Itoje and Kruis (and Rhodes on the bench), and once Clark, Skelton and Billy are fit I'd expect to see them rotated out. Presumably they're the only ones unavailable aside from Jamie, Mako, Faz and Williams who are rested.

Huxley - good spot on Tolofua, a bit odd they're playing in 5 hours and no announcement from Saracens.

I guess CC playing against his former team might not be a great idea after what happened with Ashy last season. I did wonder if we'd see Maro more st 6 this season with our wealth of second rows, but not this soon!

Thanks for the information on the Storm game. Season ticket literally just arrived, was wondering when the Storm games were. Sigh. Communication, communication, communication. So just who is this new CEO I should write to? (Sm161)

Yes he is Tony. Paul's son and Matt Dawson's God son, I believe.

Same kicking style as Paul but seems to have a lot more gas.

Thanks for the info on CC, shame he can't make it.

Interestingly, it looks to me that we have 5 possible options at the lineout which against a team like Northampton, who have an excellent set piece, is going to be important.

Damned by faint praise, Kenneth!

Interesting to see Maro at 6 thought it would have been Kruitoje in the second row but there we have it good look teams should be a good opener... I still believe we can win this one!

I think Maro's only starting because Rhodes isn't quite there. If Rhodes was fully fit I'm sure he and Maro would have roles reversed.

And not because we are going to play Maro "into the ground" as some sage gentleman has suggested on our opponents' forum. Obviously not completely au fait with our policy of player welfare.

A real kick up the backside for our new French hooker by the looks of things, however good Slurping looked in the friendlies

I would have thought that with his carrying ability, and weight, that he would have been perfect for this game, but I've always liked Scott, even if injuries have hampered game time. Possibly he's been picked for his ability in our defensive line. I've probably just jinxed him now though!
