Which area of the city is best to stay in? I can see the stadium is out of town a bit, but any advice on orientation, travelling around, bars etc. would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Flights (Madrid to Clermont via Paris) and hotel (Mercure) now booked. Arriving saturday afternoon and leaving Monday at about the same time.
Not a convenient trip considering kick off time but its on the rugby bucket list and never no when we will draw them again.
Can´t wait.

We will all need to sit together if we have even the slightest chance of being heard !
Quote:we didn't even use our allocation up in Lyonprimavesi
I honestly do not think tickets will be an issue Edgware. I have never heard of an away game in France where Sarries fans used up the allocation of tickets.

what's our allocation been like at ASM in terms of seat location in the past? are away fans normally stuck up in the gods behind the sticks? what's the likelihood of getting 3 seats in a half-decent location together?

Makes no difference where you are - the stadium will literally bounce, you won't be able to hear yourself think and you're guaranteed to be with 'friends'!

Clermont hadn't started selling tickets when I looked on Friday, they were only selling their next two games.

We got 6 in blocks 2/3 looking forward to a first visit to Clermont!!
Went to semi final in Saint Ettiene which is most incredible atmosphere I’ve experienced at a rugby match!
Hopefully we can keep the yellow army mute

its not just the stadium experience its the whole pre-game thing as well. Wearing a fez at St.Ettiene got me into at least 50 group
pictures. not just bunches of lads, family groups of multiple generations. totally unreal.
after the game we had a beer in the stadium but over half the crowd were still there when we left, singing and chanting
