But only on the bench.

Innings

Points win matches: tries win hearts and minds.

Extremely unlucky that the third-best England hooker is nowwhere to be seen, and whoever he is, he isn't good enough to displace Hartley. Therefore EJ is right to play his two hookers as he does.

Correct... JG to start and DH on in last 20! Not a great idea... need a 3rd hooker to push on... QUICKLY..

As a Saints fan and Dylan supporter, I think that Innings has a very valid point. Jamie is the future, no question, but until that 'third hooker' gets a look in, then the status quo will remain. I would be astonished if JG is not the starting #2 at the World Cup and the timing of the change will be very interesting. The record books do show however, a very impressive run of results for Jones/Hartley even if some of the performances have been less than flattering. What is quite clear is that, in Eddie Jones mind at least, it is not just what happens in the eighty minutes that defines the England Captaincy as Farrell wiil discover in due course.

The way Hartley gets credit for England's wins, you'd think he scored a brace of tries every game and picked up numerous MOTM awards.....

The reality is that he's still one of the weaker performers in the team but has been allowed to coast along and take the glory for the heavy work done by others.

Still can't see what genius captaincy he's done to be honest. It's the coaches who have been organising the team primarily.

It's not enough to just hit your jumpers at lineout time and be adequate at set piece.

Jamie George can do all that and more.

Against Argentina, Hartley made 5 tackles in his about 60 minutes, Jamie George made 12 in his 20 mins.....

If England want to aspire to be the best in the world they need to move on from Hartley to George.

60 minutes of George is better than 20.
