Saracens have named their side for Friday eveningís Anglo-Welsh Cup second round clash away to Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium, kick-off 20h00.

Anglo-Welsh Cup coach Adam Powell makes three changes to the starting line-up to the side that faced Harlequins in round one at Allianz Park last weekend, with Rotimi Segun, Scott Spurling and Mark Flanagan coming into the side. Lock forward Flanagan has returned from Munster where he has recently been on loan with the Irish Province.

Up front, Scott Spurling comes in at hooker for Christopher Tolofua who is away on international duty with France. 24-year old Spurling is joined by Richard Barrington (loosehead prop) and Kieran Longbottom (tighthead prop) in the Sarries front-row. At lock, Flanagan comes into the side to partner Will Skelton with Danny Cutmore moving to the bench. In the back-row, Jack Nay and Joel Conlon continue with Ben Earl skippering the side from No8.

In the backs, Tom Whiteley partners Max Mallins, with Nick Tompkins lining up alongside Rotimi Segun at centre. Mike Ellery, Nathan Earle and Matt Gallagher make-up the back-three.

I think your plays are better than your sums Mr S.- 16-20 are all forwards methinks.

I would have thought we would have learned our lesson from last week and have impact players coming on in the second half. Will Skelton in my view fits this bill. He ran out of steam at 60 minutes last week. With the exception of Ben I can't see many game changers on the bench.

This is more or less a Storm team so the depth isn't there to have impact players on the bench. Skelton should start to give him match fitness, the result is less important than the experience and match fitness IMO.

Apologies; looked on the list of academy players on the fish and saw the word 'back' below Sean Reffell. I now realise that means return to previous menu rather than his position!

Is it on TV? If so it will be nice to take a look at SSA sponsoree (?) Tadgh.
Wasn't HT-S a flanker at one stage? almost feel we would be better off with him at 8. Nothing against Earl who is a talented young chap but that's a very light backrow.

Would be nice to win but there are bigger & better prizes than Anglo Welsh. Iím happy we are sticking to the spirit of the competition & predominantly playing the youngsters

Not sure a backrow with Nay and Conlon on the flanks can be called particularly lightweight...

...plus I'm not sure we have another fit loose head prop for the bench if HTS is used in the backrow.
